Are you that person who leaps out of bed in the morning full of energy, excited for the chance to create a new vision?
Or do you dread waking up, consumed with the reality that life needs to be different, full of regret for past mistakes and desperate for a new vision?
Without a plan of action, there is little difference in what either of these folks can expect to experience. While their attitudes vary, their outcomes will be the same. Both are living in a fantasy world with little chance of a happy ending.
My core issue has always been in building and maintaining healthy relationships. My life lessons are all about loving and accepting myself and others exactly as they are. Becoming independent and grasping the concept of healthy boundaries. Realizing that all people in my life are a reflection of my inner world. My dis-owned selves. There are some mornings that I visualize the most magnificent future, bathed in the light of love, rejoicing in the center of it all. Then there are the times when all I can see are the mistakes that I have made, the judgements and the insecurities that have effectively pushed away the one thing I desire the most. My soul yearning for the connection that true intimacy brings, I say I am going to be different. In both committed to creating an extraordinary life.
In both nothing changes.
Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
So much of life today is about finding the answers. Seeking the truth. Going inside to that sacred space to connect with that Divine spark. Gathering so much information. What is missing is action. Tangible steps that have the power to turn fantasy into reality.
What can I do today, right now to propel me towards my vision? What healthy structures can I implement to replace a structure of knowing that no longer serves me? What action can I take to transform my life?
Now is the time to take action. Today is the day to commit to do whatever it takes to have it all.
Take a few moments each morning to be with the following steps and make way for the miracles!
1. Take a few deep breaths and connect with the present moment.
2. Turn your attention to an area of your life that you would like to transform.
3. Note any negative thoughts or feelings that float up .
4. Spend a few minutes journaling about them .
5. Pick one that holds the biggest charge today and ask yourself, “What is one thing I can do today that will transform this belief to bring me closer to my vision”
6. Do it.
I have found that it takes 28 days to create a new habit. By giving yourself the gift of this practice every morning for the next month you are well on your way to a life beyond your wildest dreams.
Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart.
Who looks outside, dreams;
Who looks inside, awakes
-Carl Jung
